Be cautious when posting your whereabouts on Twitter. If you are going on vacation you might want to rethink sharing all the details with your Twitter followers.
Isrel Hyman, a video pod caster, took his family on a trip to the Midwest and tweeted about the excursion, like so many of us do. When he came home from the trip, he found his home had been burglarized.
Although the police have not connected the break-in to Twitter, Hyman and the Arizona media are linking up the incident because of Hyman's past Twitter behaviour. Whether the burglary is a result of Hyman using Twitter to share his whereabouts we don't yet know, but it's safe to say that it could have been.
If you are a Twitter user then you know and are use to sharing a lot and it's easy to forget that the world isn't exactly the safest place. Predators and buglers have every reason to be interested in getting on the social media bandwagon because of the real-time info being fed on Twitter. By being conscious of what we are tweeting, we can avoid giving up too much info and falling subject to some one's prey.

how true! Guess we are so wrapped up in social media, sometimes we forget about commen sense!
