Share things on Twitter

Twitter is one of the best places to share stuff. You may be reading a great post from Mashable and want to share with others by using TwitThat. You may have found a fun song on Blip.com that is making your hips shake. Maybe you just made a necklace that you posted to Etsy or you may be having lunch with a celebrity or social media expert and want to post a picture on TwitPic. Whatever the case may be, Twitter is a great place to share things.

Twitter is like a information exchange hub. Information is being exchanged at warp speed through the power of social media and it's important you know what and when to share.

Personalizing your Tweets is important because it builds trust amongst your followers, but there is a fine line and you don't want to cross it if you would like to be considered professional and/or trustworthy. Basically, the rule of thumb is, if you don't want your tweet printed across the NY Times, don't share.

Would you want everyone in the United States to know you are going out of town for the weekend, leaving your home unoccupied? Probably not a good idea. Israel Hyman found out the hard way when he came home to a burglarized home.
Word to the wise... be careful, don't drunk tweet and share the sweet stuff!
