Twitter Tip #4

Tip #4 is super important because if you are a business on Twitter trying to feed people information, which most people on Twitter are, you need to chose your Twitter Id name carefully. One mistake I made was that I chose a long id name (theappleofmyeye). The reason this was a mistake is because when I tweet something that I would love to be re tweeted (RT) and seen by as many people as possible, my name might take up too much room in the 140 character limit that someone else cannot properly re tweet (RT) my tweet.
I have thought of changing my Twitter id to something else because I do put out a lot of info that I would like re tweeted, but after asking Twitter followers their advice of the matter, each and every one of them said to keep the name because it stood out and was easy for them to remember. So, I am not going to change it because I have over 3000 followers that I don't want to confuse at this point.
In conclusion, when picking a name, make it short, sweet and memorable.
