Join the Fight Against Twitter SPAM

Hate Twitter SPAM? Me too! Now, I'm not talking about legit companies sharing sale info or linking to their latest creation for sale on Etsy, I'm talking more about the porn SPAM that is creeping around Twitter. I say creeping, because they are sneaky about how they are invading the Twitter stream

I was at a Site Warming Party using TweetDeck to follow the party and the spammers were using the parties #hashtag to stream SPAM to all the party goers, clever? I should say NOT!

At the time I didn't know how to report the SPAM so I re tweeted (RT) it and told them to bugger off because we were not interested. Luckily I wasn't suspended from Twitter by re tweeting (RT) their tweets because they have accidentally suspended folks trying to stop the SPAM, thinking that they are a part of it too.

Well, the other day I went to check my new followers and there was a picture if a lady licking a male unit. I was like, oh no you don't and reported them the right way. To report spammers on Twitter follow @SPAM. Then, send them a DM and report it. I reported the inappropriate photo and the user was gone immediately.

I think that if we all stand up to these spammers, we can protect our favorite social marketing site from becoming trashed and unappealing.
