Reviewing and a Recommending Products as Bloggers

Are you reviewing or recommending to your readers? There is a difference and it's crucial that you are being clear to your readers when doing product "reviews" and product "recommendations".

The best way to be a credible review blogger is to tell your audience not only the great things about the product you are reviewing, but to also tell them the things you would change about the product you are reviewing to make it better.

The bottom line is to be honest because not only are you helping your readers, but you are helping the company by giving them suggestions on ways to make their product better for the consumer. This is why companies are coming to the "moms who blog" to review their products because they know how much we influence our readers.

And wouldn't it be great if more companies read the reviews that bloggers are posting so that they can offer feedback and factual information to inform and encourage?!

When you are doing a review and you wholeheartedly love the product and think every mom you know would benefit from using the product, then say so, but don't do it unless you mean it because this would be considered a recommendation and a false recommendation could mean no more followers if you are not being truthful and honest.

Bottom line...be true to yourself, your readers and to the companies you are reviewing and everyone will be happy!
