The Trending Topics front and center- to someone who is arriving to Twitter for the first time this is going to intrigue them. Also, trending topics is explained to the new Twitterer with a conversation bubble that appears when you hover over the question mark icon.
The New Text:“Share and discover what’s happening right now, anywhere in the world” This new text is so much more what Twitter is all about because the whole world is on Twitter and we talk Global issues as well as local issues. Finally, no more scaring people off from using Twitter because the feeling they get when the focus is on them. Now with the focus being on the world I think more people will be more apt to engage.
The Search Bar front and center. This one is big because when you search Twitter, you are searching what's going on and being talked about this very second. I personally use Twitter as a search option just as often, if not more than I use Google especially if what I'm searching for is Breaking News.
