OK, so you write a fabulous blog post and want to share it with others who might benefit from the information. Or, you are having a contest on your blog and would like to get some traffic to your post. Whatever the case may be, the ultimate goal is to share your blog posts because that is why you are writing them on the www and not with pen and paper in a journal...right?!
Here are my favorite places to share my blog posts:
- Twitter- Twitter is the hot new social media site right now with millions of users world wide. I currently have over 3000 followers, so I have set up TwitterFeed to automatically tweet my posts once they are live on my blog. Setting up an account with TwitterFeed is free and takes about 5 minutes or less.
- FaceBook- Another hot social media site where you can connect with old friends, business contacts or whomever is Facebook. Go to your home page, click on links and then insert the link to your post. Then choose which thumbnail photo you'd like displayed, click post and then you are done.
- StumbleUpon- Go ahead...stumble your own post! StumbleUpon is a great place to discover cool websites and find important information. I have the StumbleUpon Toolbar which makes it easy to Stumble just by clicking the thumbs-up icon.
- TwitThat- TwitThat is an easy way to share blog posts. When you click on the simple to install TweetThis toolbar button, it tweets your post to your Twitter account. (You can also right click the TweetThis button and save it to your Favorites and click it from there to tweet it on Twitter).
